Privacy First Approach

Keep Secret is built with a 'Privacy by Design' philosophy. Unlike most AI applications, Keep Secret operates entirely offline on your device using the ExecuTorch on-device AI runtime. Your data never leaves your phone, and we do not use any third-party AI cloud services (such as OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini) to process your data. All AI responses are generated locally on your device's hardware — no data is ever sent to any external server.

Information We Do Not Collect

Because Keep Secret works offline, we do not have access to, collect, or store any of the following:

• Your chat history and conversations with AI models.
• Documents, images, or files you import into the AIVault.
• Voice recordings or transcriptions.
• Your personal identification or contact information.

Device Permissions

To provide a full-featured offline AI experience, Keep Secret may request the following permissions. We use these strictly for on-device functionality:

• Microphone (Audio Recording): Used exclusively for voice-to-text chat and voice commands. All audio is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded.
• Camera: Required for scanning documents or capturing photos to be securely stored in your private AIVault.
• Storage / Media: Needed to import documents, images, and files from your device into the app's local encrypted storage.
• Internet: Used only to download AI models from official repositories (like Hugging Face). The app does not use internet for chat or data processing.

On-Device Processing

All AI inference, document indexing (RAG), and speech-to-text processing happen locally using your device's hardware (CPU/GPU/NPU) via the ExecuTorch runtime — an on-device AI execution framework developed by Meta that enables running large language models directly on mobile hardware.

No external APIs, cloud servers, or third-party AI services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other provider) are involved in generating responses or processing your private data. Your conversations never leave your device.

Model Downloads

When you download an AI model, the application connects directly to official model repositories (like Hugging Face). We do not track which models you download or your usage patterns.

Storage and Security

All chat history and settings are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. We recommend using your device's built-in security features (Passcode, FaceID, TouchID) to protect access to the app.

Third-Party Libraries

Keep Secret uses the ExecuTorch runtime (developed by Meta) for local model execution, and the Whisper model for on-device speech-to-text transcription. These libraries run entirely on your device's hardware and do not transmit any user data, chat history, voice recordings, or personal information to external servers or third-party AI providers. No data is shared with Meta or any other organization as a result of using these libraries.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we don't collect your email, we recommend checking this screen periodically for any changes.
